Random Wisdom Work|Life Balance

Goodbye work life balance and hello resilience

I had a first yesterday – I had a chance to talk to Jill Krop, guest host of the Simi Sara show on CKNW about work life balance as a concept that is rapdily falling out of favour.  I explained that I don’t like to use the expression because it sets up work and life in oposition to another and implies that there is some ideal state of balance we should all be aiming for.   Our lives are way more dynamic and full than that model implies.  In these modern days where information flows faster than we could ever have imagined we need to shift our focus to resillience and flexibility.
