Life in Law – interview

Written by Allison Wolf

In March 2020, right as our world was turned upside down by the pandemic a new and important initiative was launched – Life in Law.

Founded by two partners, Kim Jakeman and Una Radoja both with the Vancouver-based law firm Harper Grey LLP, Life in Law (LiL) is a complimentary service designed to give women lawyers of all years of call access to confidential, safe, accessible and friendly support from fellow women in law. More than anything LIL is about stemming the attrition of women from legal practice by providing a helping hand when needed.

Whether you choose to call the LiL hotline, jump on their online chat, or send in a question to the blog, LiL is always there for women lawyers.

The LiL website is gorgeous and was designed by the in-house Marketing Team at Harper Grey. You can check it out here (www.lifeinlaw.ca)

This summer I had an opportunity to interview Kim and Una to learn more about LiL, how it came to be, what it is all about, and what is coming next for LiL.  You can listen in on this conversation here:

Kim and Una asked that I pass along this message of thanks to everyone who has had a hand at giving life to LiL:

“We would like to express our heart felt thank you to everyone that has supported us so far.  This includes our marketing team, our firm management team, all our firm members who follow us on social media regularly and of course all of our advisors who work with us throughout the year to ensure the phone and live chat has a person attached to it during the week and during regular business hours.  We are so grateful for all of the support.”
